Harmony Science Academy will have 8 Asynchronous instruction days in the second semester. Our goal is to provide HSA Carrollton staff with the time needed to structure their lessons, grade assignments, complete certifications necessary for their courses and to open up office hour availability for students struggling with course concepts as well as giving students a chance and more time to complete missing assignments.

Please find the details below.

  • All class instruction will be asynchronous for those days. No live lessons will be held.
  • On-campus students will continue coming to campus as usual, and their learning will also be asynchronous.
  • All faculty will continue coming to campus.
  • Teachers will provide clear guidance about what is expected from students on these days.

As an HSA Middle School Student Council, we are planning to host a Fireside Reading Night event on Thursday, December 3 from 6:00 to 7:15 PM in order to give back to our Harmony community, We have designed this event in a Zoom meeting format, and there will be two breakout rooms for two different grade ranges. One of the middle school teachers sponsoring the Student Council will be in each breakout room and will ensure that the event goes smoothly.

As our target audience is elementary school students, we would like for the flyer and sign-up sheet for this event to be shared with the K-5 families at HSI. I have attached the flyer to this email and linked the google form below. Could you please have it included in the HSI Wednesday mail or distributed to the students and families another way?
