“Hello, Everyone!

Summer is almost over, and it’s almost time for our Student Orientation!  Our wonderful P.T.O. will host a Kona Ice and Crazy Dog Day during Student Orientation on Friday, August 10.  Come to campus for all the usual academic stuff, the clubs, the uniforms, and everything else, AND wonderful P.T.O. food like hot dogs, sodas, chips, cheese, condiments, and pickles, and Kona Ice!  This will be an excellent fundraiser for P.T.O. to start the year off right and with meals for all!

Dear Husky Family,
As we are about to start the new school year, I wish to take this opportunity to welcome you all back to Harmony Science Academy – Carrollton. I hope each of you had a joyful summer break with your near and dear ones. The start of a new school year provides an ideal time to reflect on where we have been and where we are heading. It’s really hard to believe that another awesome year is around the corner! It seems like we just closed out the 2017-2018 school year. We have been planning and preparing all summer, and we are very excited that our young scholars will be on campus in just a few short weeks!

Harmony Science Academy Carrollton *recommends that you  purchase a TI-Nspire CX graphing calculator for your 8-12 student.

At Harmony, TI-Nspire technology is incorporated into Pre-Algebra, Algebra I, Geometry, Algebra II, Pre-Calculus, and Calculus classes.  With their own calculator, learning can better extend well beyond the classroom.

Students benefit from having their own calculator by:

  • having the same calculator for homework as they use in class
  • having a valuable study aid on hand whenever needed
  • downloading helpful applications just like on a computer
  • mastering the TI-Nspire CAS technology before it is needed in the classroom
  • being ready for any offsite test

With their own calculator their learning process extends beyond the classroom.

As the world becomes more high-tech, the fastest growing jobs are requiring high-tech skills.  Math and science proficiency is becoming increasingly necessary and will benefit the students regardless of the career path they take.

For more information, visit https://education.ti.com/en/customer-support/parent-benefits

*calculators are provided in the classroom and are therefore not required
